Privacy policy

What ResellerForge collects, what it does not, and how to switch off our analytics.

ResellerForge is a static content site and collects as little as possible. We do not sell personal data, and we do not require an account to read anything. This page explains the limited data involved in visiting the site.

Analytics

ResellerForge uses Google Analytics 4 — provided by Google LLC and Google Ireland Ltd. — to see which guides are useful. It records pages viewed, the referring site, approximate location (city or country level), device and browser type, and session timing. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation stay off: we do not build advertising profiles, the data is not used for advertising, and it is not sold.

GA4's first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, can last up to two years and are set only after analytics is allowed. For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a banner asks first, and nothing is sent to Google unless you click Accept. Outside those regions analytics is on by default, and you can switch it off at any time. A Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is treated as an opt-out. The setting you choose is kept in your browser's local storage under the key analytics-consent, not in a cookie.

Email signup

If you subscribe to the margin memo, we store the email address you provide only to send those updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, which removes your address.

When you click an outbound affiliate link, the destination host or its affiliate network may set a cookie to attribute a later purchase to us. That process is controlled by the third party under their own privacy policy, not ours. You can decline or clear these cookies in your browser.
